What is a Qualified Opportunity Zone?

The Qualified Opportunity Zone program was created under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, to offer investors substantial federal tax incentives, to promote economic development in select communities in need of economic development. These tax benefits are provided to Accredited Investors who roll their capital gains from other investments within 180 days into a fund that invests in Qualified Opportunity Zones.

Tax Deferral

Tax Reduction

Reduce the Capital Gains taxes you owe by up to 10% after 7 years.

Tax Elimination

Pay ZERO capital gains tax on the QOZ investment when held for 10 years or more

The Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds described on this site are available only to "Accredited Investors" – Generally as defined in Regulation D, a natural person must have:

1) A net worth of over $1 million (exclusive of residence)  or  2)  An income in excess of $200,000 individually or $300,000 jointly with a spouse.
